Spring / “Hello You”

8 Mar

I’m feeling a lot of beautiful things today, a realization that surprised me at first because I didn’t recognize what I’d felt until I’d actually thought about it. I think it’s the oncoming spring. It’s strengthening inside me my hope for possibilities, the want to really try.

I stumbled across a story I’d read ages ago and I’m so happy I rediscovered it. It’s called Hello You by Laura Motta. The heroine shares a creative writing class with the hero, and rereading it actually made me so happy I hugged myself. (Eee @ “Cold hands” “Hot everywhere else.”). It reminds me of one of my most favorite compliments, and spring and potential and the magic of both being honest and never entirely certain who’s lurking in the love shadows.

It finally feels like spring here as well in New Hampshire! Yesterday it was in the 50′s for the first time. Eee! I finally got to take my dogs out for a walk.
