When it comes to writing, I’m an extremely visual person and like to imagine my stories on the big screen. Dream big, Zakari! Now I’d like to let you in on Coercion, the movie based on my book that’s currently playing only in my head. Despite the explicit nature of Coercion, I have visions where there’s no out-and-out nudity in the actual film itself. I’m dodging tomatoes of disappointment, I’m sure, but I’m not trying to make a porno. Believe it or not, it’s an actual story—there’s just lots and lots of doin’ it thrown in. It’s my favorite kind of anecdote. Besides, there’s no doubting the power of suggestion, which can be potentially hotter than full-on frontal. I want everyone to use their imaginations. Relying on someone flashing a nip is too easy! But I digress. Let’s get to the cast.

After much deliberation, I’ve made the ever-so-wise decision to select Henry Cavill for the role of Michael Vartanian, my foxy, tortured anti-hero. Talk about FINE! Thank you, Tudors, for bringing him to my attention. Although Michael Vartanian is in his early twenties and from Missouri and Cavill is currently five years older than Michael Vartanian (putting him at a delicious twenty-seven) and English, I’ve confidence in him to be so foxy that no one notices or cares. I enjoy all the smoldering he does; I think he can brood nicely if given the chance.

I’m excited by thoughts of him alighting from a truck and strolling through a gaggle of girls wearing aviators in slow motion, setting the loins of Valerie, the protagonist, aflame. Give him a floppy mop of ’70s hair and he’s good to go. I can’t wait to see him putting those lips of his to good use on some poor, lucky girl with feathered hair. I’d even be willing to test him out first. I’m so selfless.
Read Coercion and pictured someone different for Michael Vartanian? Drop me a line — I’m interested to know!

Coercion — an erotic novel now available via Lyrical Press, Inc.
He’s a bit too old, but I thought Matthew Bomer (from White Collar) was probably pretty enough. Tom Welling, too…again, the right look (for me) but the wrong age. I’m really not up on who’s who under the age of about 30…
“He’s a bit too old, but I thought Matthew Bomer (from White Collar) was probably pretty enough.” WTH?!! Matt Bomer is 6 years older than Henry.. o_O c’mon man!!
Yeah, uh…not sure of the cause of your apparent belligerence, yourmama. I believe I clearly stated he was too old didn’t I? Thanks!
Ooh! Both good calls, Willsin! I’ve never heard of Matthew Bomer before, but he’s definitely got the look. Thanks for bringing him to my attention. And I totally agree — somehow, it’s difficult finding age-appropriate actors who aren’t on the Disney channel or in Twilight. Sigh!
Stephenie Meyer also chose Henry Cavill to play her main male character, Edward Cullen. Were you aware of this?
I was not aware of this! I can’t say I blame her — he’s one tasty dude.
